Every year dozens of Westerners of all ages travel to Uganda to visit Juna Amagara. Some come because they are curious. Some because they want to paint or dig or build. Some want to teach skills or academics. Some want to preach. Some come for the adventure. Whatever else they accomplish while they are here, every one leaves the country touched by the breathtaking scenery, humbled by the joyful hospitality and inspired by having seen God at work in what is truly a Christian country. We will meet you, welcome you and show you a world you have never known.
Teams are forming for 2017. The organizations and individuals and groups that follow are all the travelers who have committed so far. We can link you up with an existing team or schedule a time for you to visit. There is plenty to do from construction to teaching to tree planting to student mentoring to discipleship training and sports. Come to Uganda in 2017. We’ll be glad to see you.
February 9-19, 2017 – Carolinas Cornerstone Church of Fort Mill, SC sent a team to participate in opening ceremonies for the Mary Cox Memorial Primary School in Kayanja Village. Nearly 200 children enrolled to attend this brand new school in its opening term. Carolinas Cornerstone has adopted Kayanja as its missions destination in Uganda. May 17 – June 7 – Peggy Walding will lead a team to support medical missions and visiting sponsored children. The team includes medical personnel who will spend time at the HEAL Clinic in Rubanda. July (dates TBA) – Board Member Steve Waggoner will lead a team from central Illinois to the capital city of Kampala to support the work of our HOLD ministry with enterprise development, abuse counseling, men’s Bible study and orphan rescue. July/August (dates TBA) – Board member Lee Mulder will lead a vision team from Amelia Island, FL to see the ministry in action, witness to school children and participate in several major events. Gifts to Juna Amagara, with an expression of a preference for short-term mission expenses, are tax deductible to the full extent allow by law. If the individual you are supporting is unable to participate in this planned ministry, your gifts will be used to support future ministry or the missions effort of others per the discretion and control of Juna Amagara Ministries.
