Children Homes

In 2004, Juna Amagara established the first Amagara Children’s Home in the town of Mbarara. There are now many hundreds of children ranging in age from eight to eighteen who have found a loving, nurturing and safe environment in which to grow in any of our four locations. They have been transformed from frightened, lost souls into energetic, productive disciples of Christ. It takes $25,000 to open and operate an Amagara location; the ministry is seeking funds to expand all facilities. Every Amagara House provides:
- Safe shelter in a loving environment
- Nutritious food and clean water
- Clothing and basic healthcare
- Individual beds and foot lockers
- Primary school & vocational education
Children Sponsorships
With over 800,000 million orphans living in Uganda without any support whatsoever, it is the mission of Juna Amagara to save as many of these children as possible. By housing children in our own facilities or in the homes of guardians, the children grow in a loving home environment, their health is maintained and they go to school. When you sponsor a child, you literally save a life. More than 100 are waiting. Come meet these kids, see their villages and meet the guardians. They will be glad to greet you. Please consider sponsoring one of these precious children for only $35.00 per month.
Orphans Becoming Outstanding Adults: Missions Accomplished
Patrick Tushabomwe, an ABIDE student in 2008, and Sean Naus meet in Kabale to encourage each other.

Juna Amagara has been caring for orphans in Uganda since 2004. The original 14 kids are now older, becoming productive members of Uganda society. It is a joy and an amazing thing to see how these people have grown from hopeless orphans into leaders who inspire those around them. One example is Patrick Tushabomwe who joined the Juna Amagara Program in 2008 and was one of the first students to undergo training at the Amagara Bible Institute of Discipleship and Evangelism (ABIDE). After ABIDE, Patrick finished University and has now opened Shepherd House, a ministry dedicated to taking care of street children in Kabale Town. The investment Patrick's sponsor made in him is now returning enormous results of human capital, saving more lives and creating more people of strong character. There are dozens of Juna Amagara kids with similar stories... becoming lawyers and farmers and builders and clergy. Their ambition is strong. Their hope and dreams are big. They WILL be the agents of change for Uganda and all of East Africa. And Juna Amagara is their home.
